The second sequel to the sleeper hit of the summer, this third Greek wedding reunites a cast that has been with us for over twenty years.
For the uninitiated, the first film followed Toula Portokalos (Nia Vardalos), a young Greek woman who, despite her family’s reservations, begins a relationship with an American man, Ian (John Corbett), sparking a culture clash from which hilarity ensues.
Then in the sequel, Toula and Ian’s life began in a bit of a free fall. The family had lost the travel agency in the recession so Toula was back where she started, at their restaurant. Ian had been promoted to high school principal and the two were finding less and less time together. But of course, it worked out in the end, with Toula’s mother and father marrying after finding out that the man who married them was not a real priest.
Now, we follow the entire Portokalos family for a reunion in order to fulfil the last wish of the late patriarch Gus (Michael Constantine, who passed away in 2021). Expect gorgeous ocean views and food to die for.
