Pitt stars as James Belmont, a retired Special Forces operative who has withdrawn from the world alongside Odin, his former military scouting dog. Pitt delivers the action thrills you’d expect, while in supporting roles J.K. Simmons brings his trademark grit and humour to the adventure, alongside a brilliant Anna Lambe. At its heart, though, Heart of the Beast is about an extraordinary partnership, turning the classic survival story into a two-way fight for life.
